”GOD OF TIDES” spans a wide range of environments and energy, moving seamlessly from wealthy elite social gatherings to dive bars, neon raves, and everything in between. The world of this story is layered, textured, and deeply influenced by South Florida communities, and we’re excited to bring those spaces to life in a way that feels authentic and lived-in.

We are also casting a wide range of water-related roles, including free diving, competitive diving, scuba divers, and spear fishers. We are especially interested in representing real people from the diving and water sports community, particularly those connected to South Florida’s coastal culture. Some of these roles will require actually being in the water, authenticity is key. We’re looking for individuals who truly understand the lifestyle, culture, and nuances of these sports.
WELCOMING all Worldly Types of the Diving Community. Seeking individuals of the following backgrounds:

  • Caribbean descent, including Bahamian

  • Cuban

  • European descent, including Irish, French, and Italian

Our goal IS ALWAYS is to build a background cast that feel informed, helping these scenes to feel believable and true to the communities being portrayed.

Please understand that at this time, Broward County is offering attractive tax incentives, which means much of the filming you’ll see in South Florida over the coming months (and hopefully the foreseeable future) will be tied to these incentives. We’re grateful for the opportunity to continue bringing productions to the area, as these incentives play an important role in keeping projects filming locally.

Because of this, many of our upcoming shoots will take place in Broward. Please take this into serious consideration before applying, especially if you are located farther south, so there are no surprises regarding location later on.

We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we continue to support filming in South Florida.

    • acting involved will need to make some facial reactions

  • Featured Male Reverend

    • acting involved will need to make some facial reactions

  • Featured 1940s War Soldier (Floating in Water)

    • ages 18-25

    • must have a crew cut or be willing for us to cut your hair must be an

    • Experienced Diver

  • Featured Female Sirens (2/13)

    • must have dancing experience, ideally someone to have someone with modern dance experience

    • Fitting required on 2/10

  • Featured Male with Dreadlocks

    • MUST have dreadlocks

  • Featured Female Diving Competition Judge

    • Real Competitive Diving Experience is IDEAL

    • be familiar with rising up out of the water properly

    • 30-40yrs

    • MUST have diving experience

NOTE - some of these roles will be director selected - if you are assigned for a role that is upgraded, your rate will become a featured rate as well. Featured Roles will get a BUMP of $25 added
